Roadmap and Feature List

The following are features that we intend to provide on our developer platform. We endeavour to continuously improve the platform but do not guarantee when the features will be effected.

The ordering of items is random, it neither signifies time of implementation nor importance. You are welcome to suggest features that you would like by sending us an email.

Mailing List

There will be a general mailing list where Developers and pose questions and respond to each other. We want the development efforts to be self-supporting i.e. not always relying on Shujaa Solutions for the answers.

Hosting Services

We will provide server space for your applications, with a minimum of PHP5 and MySQL5. We can later increase the features on the server side including J2EE and PostgreSQL. Space will be secure and accessible remotely.

Domain Name Registration

Domain names may come together with the hosting space provided. You will be able to choose your own name and have it resolve to your space. Examples of domain names can be otieno.co.ke and mutiso.mobi.

Payment Gateways

We will connect to various local and international payment gateways for example MPesa, Zap and PayPal. You will then be at liberty to choose how we should remit your monies to you.

Test Short Codes

Shujaa Solutions may introduce test SMS and USSD short codes, such that you can test your applications against them.

Developer Toolkits

We will build various tools to help you in development, some of which may be web based and others desktop based. These will aid in Rapid Application Development, testing and signing of executables.

Remote Interfaces

These will allow you to query and update our platform remotely. Interfaces can be implemented in various ways including JSON, XML, RSS and SOAP. For example a GIS based application may query the platform to access libraries that triangulate a user's location.

Developer Account

Content developers can now create accounts on the platform. Features provided within the account include profile management, content management, tech guides and a feedback page.
